Medical Cannabis

New Mexico House Bill 356 aims to legalize recreational marijuana. The state plans to regulate marijuana like alcohol so adults age 21 and older can purchase and consume.

It’s estimated that the state would generate about $40 million in tax revenue from legal recreational marijuana sales, according to KFOX14. It’s also estimated that 11,000 new jobs could be created within the first year.

Alexandra Baca said, “People are excited for it, I know it’s going to help us out in the long run so…we’re really eager and we’re just trying to have it happen as soon as possible.”
