Walmart holds an annual open call where the company takes a look at new products made in the U.S. to determine which products would be good for their customers. Then they conduct one-on-one meetings with buyers. One New Mexico hemp-product manufacturer will soon have her company’s products available.
SW Therapy and Rehab produces five hemp-based products, Los Alamos Daily Post reports. Founder Star Ridsdale created a hemp-based pain-relief cream to help her mother’s arthritis. She is thrilled to receive a deal to have her company’s products available on Walmart.com and Jet.com in the next few weeks.
Ridsdale said, “I have to start focusing on upping the inventory and getting my products ready for distribution. Walmart has given me the opportunity of a lifetime. I want to show them that my business and products are capable of going far.”
Regarding the event, Cindi Marsiglio of Walmart said, “Walmart’s annual Open Call is a special opportunity to connect our buyers with companies that are manufacturing products in the U.S, and to identify new and unique product solutions.”
