Those applying for a medical marijuana card in New Mexico won’t have to sort through multiple pages anymore. The previous four-page process has been condensed to a two-page application. Applications may be completed online.
Completed applications still have to be signed by hand and returned to the state either in person or by mail, U.S. News & World Report reports. Doctors can now send required medical records rather than handwriting a long report.
Patients still have to be at least 21-years-old to apply for a medical marijuana card.
Health Secretary Lynn Gallagher said the changes took months to complete. She also says the process makes applying for a medical marijuana card a more “straight-forward process to better serve patients and practitioners.”
