New Mexico Marijuana Growers Creating Smokeless Products

New Mexico medical marijuana growers, Duke Rodriguez and Leonard Salgado, are teaming up with an Israeli pharmaceuticals company to produce smokeless marijuana products. The dosages would be exact measurements. The facility is planned to be located in Bernalillo.

The smokeless pharmaceutical-grade medical marijuana products expected include:

  • Tablets
  • Oral spray inhalers
  • Rectal/vaginal suppositories

The premise of these smokeless marijuana products is to help patients and to bring awareness of the benefits of marijuana so it will become more widely accepted as a medicine, Albuquerque Journal reports. The facility is expected to cost $1 million to build, with each partner furnishing half of the required funds. The building for the manufacturing operation is said to be 3,300 square feet.

The medical marijuana products produced with this manufacturer will deliver the same amount of medication every time, claims Duke Rodriguez of Ultra Health, LLC. Rodriguez also said, “For cannabis to actually perform as real medicine – which in fact it is – these cannabinoids need to be delivered in a very specific dosage.”

Once the smokeless medical marijuana products go into production they will be packaged in 30-dose increments. The dosage options will be set at 5mg and 10mg. Ultra Health sets itself apart in a thriving industry by claiming to be the first to be able to produce dosage-specific medical marijuana products.

Ultra Health will be an interstate manufacturer. It already has agreements with California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico.
